Free Texas Holdem Poker

Getting to the World Series of Poker Main Event is every poker player's dream, actually that's the intro to every poker player's dream. The real dream poker players share is winning the tournament. There are many paths to the Texas Hold em Main Event but the most impressive are the paths traveled by the players that started from the humblest of origins. It's pretty easy for a millionaire, or a billionaire, to drop 10k and be dead money in the World Series of Poker, but it's entirely different when a player goes deep after starting out playing free rolls.

With the changing landscape of online poker the super satellites to the Main Event are harder to find, and depending on the country you live in, harder to play in. Still, there are some sites that can offer even the smallest bankroll hope in chasing the Las Vegas card dream. Television cameras, glitz, glamour and the rush of surviving multiple days in the world's largest poker tournament; it can happen even to the guy so far away from it he can barely visualize it. Poker is like that and as long as there is Free online poker with real money payouts that dream is always a possibility.

Railbirds will hustle for a buy-in, but at a site like bwin, they can build a bankroll from nothing. Bwin offers Texas Hold em online free rolls all day that promise free opportunities to aspiring pros. Some might scoff at the notion that tomorrow's Main Event winner could get his or her start in the game by grinding free rolls but they are plenty of players who did just that.

Sure, a Main Event final table is usually composed of players with a wide range of supporters in their rooting section. There are always family and friends especially cheering on the independently rich guys. Take another look at the players who have been in the poker game for a while because behind them often there is an even more animated contingent of fans. The people cheering loudest may have traded a piece of that player, they may back that player, or that player might owe them money--but somehow they have a piece of the action.

Go back a few years on YouTube and you'll likely see several name pros going bonkers when one of their friends has made a deep Main Event run. Why so happy? They got some piece of the player in play. So, it stands to reason a youngster with no bankroll but with an online poker account and the right determination and hard work can parlay a free roll into life changing money is not so far fetched. And yes, Free Texas Holdem Poker can be the first, in a very long series of stepping stones to realizing the ultimate dream.

How to play free poker at bwin

Where is that player supposed to go to make that dream start to become a reality? He needs to sign up for an account at bwin. If he wants to make a deposit he can start playing on that, but if doesn't want to make a deposit he can start by playing Free Online Poker. After winning some of those free rolls and putting some real money in his account he can move up to the real money games.

Then, just by playing online, if good enough, he can demonstrate the type of numbers that would have a backer knocking on his door. Sure, it's hard to build a bankroll from nothing but the journey is part of the process and what's more fun than Free poker games? Or if really good he can just rise up through the buy-ins to the very highest levels like some players with meteoric run-good have done. Then he can become the backer and fulfill the dream of having someone else win the world series for him.

Regardless, as long as there are free rolls with no buy-ins at sites like bwin even the poorest of players can dream about winning the richest of prizes.

If you’ve ever played poker, there is probably one thing you want to do in poker before dying and that’s play the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, and if you don’t, that’s because you’ve already played it. That has to be on your bucket list, and for those that don’t know, a bucket list is a list of things a person wants to do before they “kick the bucket.” Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson made a movie around this concept, as two old guys trying to do everything they missed out on in life before they expire. It’s a race against time, but the message you should take from the movie is you don’t have to be old to have a bucket list.

Even people that haven’t played poker, but have merely watched it on TV have the idea of playing in the World Series of Poker on their bucket list. They might opt to sky-dive if they could only do one thing, but for everybody that has the poker bug, playing in the Main Event is the penultimate. Fortunately, this is a very attainable goal, because you can play WSOP qualifiers year round. You don’t have to have an extra $10,000 laying around to buy into the Main Event, WSOP qualifiers sometimes start as cheaply as a couple of dollars.

Winning the seat, may not be easy, but it is doable. Buying in for almost nothing usually means winning multiple tournaments to get to the WSOP qualifier that offers the seat. In a ladder formation, you win say a $1.00 buy-in event and this qualifies you for a $10 buy-in event. Winning this qualifies you for a $100 event, then a $1,000, and finally the $10,000 WSOP qualifier.

It’s not easy, but in this format all you have to do is be in the top 10% of each tournament . If you don’t have $10,000 to play but you do have $100 you can skip a couple of steps, and still have a chance to win your way to Las Vegas for a huge discount. Since luck is such a strong element of poker that sometimes rank beginners can blindly win all the way up a ladder and get a seat.

Unfortunately, for those that don’t play poker, skill is a stronger component. This is both good and bad for those of you chasing your bucket list dreams. The bad part is it may take numerous tries and failures to win your WSOP qualifier. Instead of spending a $1.00 to win a seat you might spend hundreds (which is still a big discount) or you might play a long time and spend almost as much as you would to buy-in directly.
That’s the worst case scenario, but even if that one plays out there are some benefits. What’s the point of winning WSOP qualifiers, if once you get there you bust out on the first hand? Your bucket list isn’t about just buying into the event it’s about participating and living the event. You want the experience and you want it to last as long as possible.

So from that perspective, the longer it takes you to get there two good things happen. The first is you appreciate it more. That’s probably overrated to a degree but still if you got there on your first try do you really feel like you accomplished something special? Probably not. The second benefit is you’ve actually learned the game. The more you play the better you get. When you finally do win a WSOP qualifier you will be better able to actually have an immersive experience.

The most recent and significant trend in poker as of late is the trend towards tournaments of hold'em with no limits. As you would guess the number of no limit contests has increased to a level that has not been seen before. These no limit events are showing up at every tournament of any size and all tournaments that are significant have a major no limit hold'em you can buy in on.

The World Series of Poker has four no limit hold'em contests and the number of people showing up to watch and participate has increased dramatically. This is no surprise to people who follow or play. For people who have not been following poker are surprised but should not be as poker has become far more reachable to everyone through television broadcasts and Internet access.

People love to watch the high end tourney play. Anyone who has played poker has had thoughts of playing in a major league tournament some day. Everyone has thought “I could do that and be good at it.”
You would think that with the shear number of no limit hold'em games that there would be plenty of opportunities for people to play at the side games, that is not the case.

Until recently, people have shyed away from no limit games being intimidated that it could get out of control or out of their reach quickly. People need to keep their fears in check. There is no reason not to take a shot at no limit games. There are plenty of self-help books, poker tools and websites. Author T.J. Cloutier has written one that hits the mark, No Limit & Pot Limit Hold'em. The book focuses on strategies for addressing the no limit games. The book has helped countless get over their fears of playing in a no limit tourney.

Thanks for creating a site like this!

By the way, for an instance, you are sitting in the small blind and the blinds are $2/$4 in a no limit game, then the lime light turns to you, and you opt to raise. But since you already have $2 in the pot, you bet at least an additional $2 to meet the $4 which is the initial big blind.

My question now is, what will happen when you raise? I mean, should your raise be $4 to have a total of $8 or just be $2 for a total of $6?

Also, are there any exceptions for the small blind?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Regards,
Kent

Kent,

When you are the first person to raise, the raise must be at least the amount of the big blind. In the above example, the raise must be to $8. There are no exceptions for any position, including the blinds.

Harrah's has recently announced it is suing Federico Schiavio, a former Binion's IT manager who is the owner of the domain wsop.com. Harrah's believes its World Series of Poker trademark entitles it to the rights for the wsop.com domain as well, alleging that the current owner of the domain is intentionally misleading visitors.

Harrah's claims that "Schiavio's use of the WSOP mark in connection (with) the domain name WSOP.com is intended to trade off Harrah's goodwill and reputation." While Harrah's does own the WSOP trademark (which it purchased from Binion's), the crux of their case revolves around whether or not visitors believe they are visiting the official WSOP site when they type in wsop.com, or whether it's reasonably clear that the site could belong to anyone, not just Harrah's.

Television executive Bruce Leyser met Jamie Gold (who would go on to win $12,000,000 as the 2006 WSOP Main Event winner) in July. According to a lawsuit filed by Leyser in late August; Gold asked Leyser to help him find celebrities to endorse Bodog in the Main Event. If Leyser did so, Gold promised that he would "share" his Main Event seat. In light of the fact that Bodog was only giving away one seat, Leyser reasonably deduced that "share" meant "share the winnings", leading him to sue Gold for $6,000,000, or half of Gold's winnings.

As evidence Leyser claims to have an answering machine recording of Jamie Gold in which Gold states: "I promise you there's no way anybody will go anywhere with your money. It's your money."

Leyser also asked a judge to file a temporary restraining order to prevent Jamie Gold from collecting his winnings from the Rio. Leyser fears that Gold might spend or gamble away the money before the issue is resolved. Chief District Judge Kathy Hardcastle granted Leyser's request and has prevented Gold from collecting any of his winnings before Sept. 1st, the scheduled date of the case's first court hearing.
