Hello,

I have a concern about “full house” hand. At times, I play poker with my friends and from them I heard whenever you have a three of a kind and there is a pair on the board, you can go full house. Is this true?

For an instance, the five cards are A A K 9 2, then I have 6 10 and my opponent has K K. Do you think my opponent have a full house because of the pair of aces?

Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks in advance!
Mikee

Mikee,

Yes, you opponent has a full house. In Holdem, you make the best five card hand between the two cards in your hand and the three on the board. He can use his K-K with the A-A-K on the board to make a full house.
