It was in 1999 when a UK television show called “Late Night Poker” developed a path for making the commentators and spectators for viewing the game. This show allowed players to be global and each player was being watched by some audience. In this show players played their game on glass table and cameras were located under the table. This games result was the beginning of the modern poker revolution. After getting craze from this show, poker started spreading vastly. Most of the companies of UK started borrowing the technology which was used by Late Night Poker show. The famous WPT (World Poker Tour) started with small miniature cameras which were built into the table. They were present in front of each player’s seats; these made viewers watch the moves of the opponents and learn the techniques of playing the game.

The plan for WPT was made by the Television and attorney producer Steve Lipscomb. He along with the “Hall of Fame” player Lyle Berman has teamed up with a local channel and started WPT plan. These people arranged to broadcast the last round of the Texas Hold’em game tournament in some of the popular casinos in the world. This was said to be the flow of global World Poker Tour. When this event finished, poker has attracted huge fan following. Most of the big casinos started attracting visitors by placing huge tournaments every year.

In the second season, when the time came for the second World Poker Tour the number of players who were interested in playing the game got doubled. People were eager to play this game, at the same time take home some handful of money. Poker players started placing bankrolls for playing this game and some of the best players became the winners finally. In the third year when the time came a staggering event occurred. The number of pools and the number of tables have increased dramatically and players were ready for playing for huge amount of money.

One of the biggest appeals of the world poker tour is that on an average the income standard of a professional player has increased dramatically, it was thanks to the television event, where most of the started earning more money. Today, most of the people are influenced by this poker game at every casino and online, and each player thinks to play a professional tournament in this world poker tour. In order to get into this tournament, there won’t be any special coaching; only thing a player should do is play his game smartly.
This, of course, is a bit harder than it sounds, figuring that there are so many players involved with the same game of reaching the competition and then winning it. So, at a certain point, the only thing that will do is practice, practice, practice.
